The Summer Reading Club (SRC) is a great way for kids to keep reading all summer long. Studies have found that children who don’t read over summer break can experience a ‘learning loss’ where their reading skills can diminish (http://bit.ly/1FuBUQe). SRC provides a fun and exciting way for kids to remain engaged in reading. They get a chance to pick their own books and explore their own interests. They also get to take part in fun programs throughout July and August. There are even great prizes to be won!
