Novel Book Club Third Thursday Each month 6:00PM—7:00PM
Each month a book is chosen by our program
facilitator to discuss. Each month they meet on the third
Thursday of that month at 6:00PM at the library to discuss the book.
Graphic Novel and Manga Club On Discord
Each month, our program facilitator will choose a theme for books to discuss, any book that fits in the theme is welcome to be discussed throughout the month on our Discord. Join our

English Language Learning Conversation Circle Mondays 1:00pm—2:00
Come practice your English in a group with other learners. Discussions and activities will be aimed at beginner speakers, but will adapt to the level of the group. There will be a new topic each week, and we will have a potluck in the final week!
This program is in partnership with Rocky View Immigrant Services.
Midday Refresh & Reset Yoga Thursdays 12:00PM—12:45PM
Join us for this 6-week series in session 1 where we will explore gentle breath connected movement
followed by a guided meditation to refresh and rebalance your energy. No experience necessary.
Suggested for each class: comfortable clothes, yoga mat, water bottle
*Optional props: blanket or towel, blocks, eye covering

Bibs, Burps, and Breaks Thursdays 1:30PM—2:00PM
Join us after Baby Storytime for some time to chat with other new parents in the community. Children are welcome to play as parents chat. We will have coffee available.
Adult Crafts Special Dates 6:00PM
Join us for these adult craft nights! Each craft night begins at 6:00PM. Registration is required for all of crafts.
October 6th Biodegradable Lantern (30 people)
Throughout many cultures and eras, lantern release ceremonies carry many different meanings. We are so lucky in Chestermere to be part of such a diverse community and would like to invite you to join us in
creating and decorating your own biodegradable lantern from
whichever perspective connects with you to then release on the lake as a class.
October 19th Head in a Jar (12 people)
Get into the Halloween spirit and create your very own spooky head in a jar to take home!
December 1st Paint Night : Abstract Painting Using Found Tools (12 people)
Create your own abstract masterpiece through experimentation and the use of unconventional tools. No experience necessary.
Code Ninjas Tuesdays at 5:00PM. Ages 8-14.
We have partnered with Code Ninjas this Fall Program to bring coding basics for people between the ages of 8-14 years old.
Registration and your own device is required.

Drop in Storytime Monday—Friday at 10:15AM
No need to register for this Storytime designed with the whole family in mind. Everyone is welcome to join us for songs and stories.
Drop in Baby Storytime Thursdays 1:00PM—1:30PM
This program is designed for parents and babies 0-18 months. There’s books, songs, reading, and playing. This is a great program for new parents to interact with other new parents, and stay after for our Bibs, Burps, and Breaks at 1:30PM.
Crafternoon Mondays at 4:15. Ages 6-12
Hone in on your creativity with a different craft activity each week, working with a range of different materials and your imagination! Registration is required for this program.
Code Ninjas Tuesdays at 4:15. Ages 5-7 & Code Ninjas Tuesdays at 5:00. Ages 8-14.
This fall, we have partnered with Code Ninjas to bring coding classes to the library for two different age groups. Learn the basics of making your own game or program with us and code ninjas!

FALL in love with quick and easy S.T.E.A.M. projects! FUN-filled activities with scientific explanation. Each week features new activity about Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.
Homeschool Wednesdays Wednesdays 1:00PM—2:00PM
Join us on Wednesday for our brand new program, Homeschool Wednesdays! This program is aimed towards homeschooling families to help facilitate play and interaction with other homeschool families in the community.
Each week we will be doing a different activity or craft at the library. Registration required.
Science Fair September 17th 10:30AM –12:30PM Ages 5-12
Join us at the library for a variety of science activities, crafts, and stations.
Family Craft: Stenciled Library Tote Bags September 25th 12:30PM—3:00PM
Design and create a library tote for you and/or your family. Bring your creativity and any inspirational quotes that speak to you. Each family will get one tote to decorate together.

Reptile Party October 15th at 1:00PM—2:00PM. Ages 5-10
Join the Calgary Reptile Parties at the Chestermere Public Library for an educational and fun hands-on experience learning all about reptiles. There will be about 8 different animals to see! Registration is required.
All Ages Chess Sunday October 16th 1:00PM - 3:00PM
Join us at the library for chess! We have the chess boards, bring yourself and your willingness to play! All ages and skill level welcome.

Pumpkin Palooza October 22nd 1:00PM–3:00PM. Ages 3-10
The Library is having a Halloween Celebration! Wear your best costume, take pictures, and do crafts and actitivies at this sort of spooky event.
Winter Lights Festival November 26th 4:00PM—8:00PM
Join us at John Peake Park on Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 4 - 8 pm
for the illumination of the winter lights display, food trucks, and a variety of fun outdoor activities for the whole family. We’ll top the evening off with a spectacular fireworks display! Also visit the library during the festival for a festive market and fun family activities!
