A Note from the Director

You may have noticed the lovely new furniture that has been appearing in the library over the last few months. We have new shelving installed by the programming room, three beautiful new board book units in the children’s library, a new display unit for the children’s kit bags and two new flexible book display units, currently living in the magazine section.

These pieces of furniture have all been bought with one thing in mind: maximising library space to allow both more books and more programming for the benefit of the community as a whole. The greater flexibility these units have provided allow us to experiment a little more with getting the most out of the library resources. We hope you like them as much as we do!

Chestermere Public Library were able to purchase these new units via the Province of Alberta’s Community Spirit grant – a program that matches donations given to us by the public – and through the generosity of The Chestermere Public Library Foundation. We would like to thank everyone involved in raising money and completing the grant applications so that we were able to purchase these great items.
