How Do I Renew My Item?

Most library items can be renewed unless:

  • There is a request or hold on the item
  • The item has been renewed twice
  • There is an outstanding balance on your account.
  • Your library card has expired.

There are 4 ways to renew library items:

On this Website:
Enter your library card number and pin number on the left side of this page under Patron Login. You will be able to view your items out, next items due, overdue, active holds, shipped holds and fines. Click on any category to view the list of items. You can renew items and cancel active holds directly from this website. A message will appear in yellow near the top of the screen with the status of the renewal.

Online at tracpac.ab.ca:
Click on My Account and

  1. Login using the barcode number on your library card number and pin (usually the last 4 digits of your home phone number).
  2. Click on My Account.
  3. Select the Items out button.
  4. Check mark items you want to renew and click Renew Selected Items.
  5. Check the messages to see if the item(s) were successfully renewed.

By Telephone:
Call the library at 403-272-9025.  Please have your library card number and the title of the item handy.

In Person:
Bring the items you wish to renew and your library card to the library.
