Membership Fees
All library cards are valid for one year from date of issue. When your card expires, bring it into the library to be renewed. We will add a new expiry date sticker to your card. You must pay any fines you have at the time of renewal.

Overdue Items & Fines
Please return your items on time to avoid late fines.
Fines are as follows:
| Adult Items | $0.25 per day per item |
| Teen Items | $0.20 per day per item |
| Childrens | $0.10 per day per item |
The due date is printed on the receipt you receive at the time of checkout. You can also check your due dates on this website by entering your library card barcode and password on the left side, or at tracpac.ab.ca.
Customers that exceed $10.00 in overdue fines or lost or damaged items will have their borrowing privileges suspended until the fees are paid. All fines must be paid all all family member's accounts when the library membership is renewed.
Lost or damaged items are subject to replacement cost of the item and a processing fee.
Returns
Materials may be returned to any library that is a member of The Alberta Library (Strathmore, Canmore, High River, etc). After regular library hours, materials may be returned through our book deposit slot in the front door. During library hours, please return your items in the return slot at the front desk.
The Alberta Library Card
With your Alberta Library Card (which you receive upon signup), you may borrow books from over 250 participating public, university, college and special libraries throughout the province. Once you are finished with borrowed materials, you may conveniently return them to any participating library.
